Certification

The Certified Swinger program is an attempt to stop fakes and picture collectors. If you are one of these, shame on you!

There are several ways to get certified as a swinger here on Swing Village. Regardless of which method you choose, you MUST be a paid member of Swing Village before you can be certified.

Certification by recommendation:

Certified, active members of Swing Village have to ability to recommend others for certification. If you know someone on Swing Village that is certified and active, they can recommend you by sending an email to the CertFairy profile!

Members recommending others for certification must have an active, certified profile before requests will be considered. You must have met the person/people you are recommending face-to-face. You need not have "played" with them. You just need to verify that they are who they say they are. Chatting with them via email or instant messaging system or even talking to them on the phone is NOT verifying who they are well enough. Please take these recommendations very seriously. The integrity of the certification program and therefore, the safety and comfort of other Swing Village members relies heavily on you.

Certification recommendation email must include:

• Your handle (profile name)
• The handle (profile name) of the person you are recommending
• A brief description of how you know the person/people you are recommending (example: "we had dinner with them the other night", "we met them at a dance/social last weekend", "we have known them for years", etc.)

Remember: the person/people you are recommending for certification MUST be paid members of Swing Village before we can honor your request.

Certification by photo submission:

If you don't know anyone on Swing Village that is certified, you are not out of luck when it comes to certification; you can submit a photograph to become certified. The photograph will NOT be posted anywhere on your profile or on Swing Village. In fact, after you are certified, the picture is deleted out of our files. The photograph MUST be as specified below or your request will not be honored.

Certification photograph must include you holding a sign showing the following:

• The date
• Your Swing Village handle (profile name)
• The words 'Swing Village'

If you are a couple, both people must be shown in the picture. Please make sure that we can SEE you. Some pictures we receive are too dark to see the people. If we can't see you, we can't certify you.

We review every request we receive and occasionally deny a request for one reason or another. Incomplete profiles (those not including data) will not be certified.
